Sunday AM
Nehemiah – Jeff James, Auditorium
General Adult
Another “history” book…does it really matter? We often ignore the post-exilic period as a time when nothing much happened. And yet in this period God was manifesting His faithfulness. He was restoring his people to hear and obey his Word. He was preparing the way for the promised king, the Messiah, that was to come. It matters if we want to strengthen our faith, to trust more fully that God is working through our lives to glorify His name, and to draw us closer to Him. Come find out that it really does matter.
Spanish Speaking Brethren – Henry Flores, Room 11
General Adult
The Other Letters – Joe Peet & John Cowart, Multi-Purpose Room
General Adult
We will undertake a review of the letters which Paul wrote that are not addressed to church bodies but to individuals. We are to also take a close look at Jude. We will seek to understand why these were preserved in the scripture, what lessons are presented to the recipients and what lessons are gleaned for the 21stcentury believer. Titus, Philemon, and Jude address specific needs of the first century church and the 21stcentury church.
Being able to study these letters is akin to sitting down with a wise and experienced spiritually minded mentor who will reveal to us some practical insight into spiritual matters. Will we gain any additional insight into the character and mind of one of our favorite biblical authors? Will we have a better understanding of the passionate 25 verses of Jude? Only your prayerful and active participation will tell.

Attitude of a Christian – Craig Collins (and others), Auditorium

How important is the attitude of a Christian? What attitude should(?) a Christian have? Perhaps it depends on the subject…what is my attitude toward God? What is my attitude toward Scripture? What is may attitude toward trials? Sin? Holiness? Other?
A goal with this class is to “dig in” and share thoughts, ideas, and experiences. How have life events shaped our thinking and actions as Christians? It is our desire that all who come seek to participate and grow together.
