Part I of this study covered chapters 1 through 20 and brought us to Mount Sinai where God revealed his 10 Commandments. Part II – God Keeps His Covenant with His People, will complete a study of the book in three sections: 1) God’s desire for his people to live holy lives, 2) God’s hatred for the practice of idolatry, and 3) God’s blueprint for true worship. This study will help us to better understand God’s nature, His longing for a close relationship with His people and his desire for them to be set apart from the world.

Spanish Speaking Brethren – Henry Flores, Room 11

Judges – Richard Shoop, Multi-Purpose Room #1

General Adult

We read in Judges 21:25, “…everyone did what was right in their own eyes.” While we tend to confine that mentality to the Israelites of the Old Testament, it permeates today’s society as well. The book of Judges is more than a history lesson, it is a wake-up call for all Christians as to how easy it can be to fall away from God. In this class, we will be looking at the lessons Judges provides for Christians today. The class is based on a Bible study from the West Palm Beach church of Christ.  The materials can be found online at https://westpalmbeachchurchofchrist.com/old-testament/judges. Prior to the first class, please read the first three chapters of the book of Judges and review the first two online lessons.

A Christian Study on the Trap of Offense – Kerry Tate, Multi-Purpose Room #3

General Adult

This class will focus on understanding how Satan uses offense to bait Christians and how we can defend ourselves against offense in a Christ-like manner. In many of life’s situations we can feel offended: at work, in public discourse, in the home, in marriages, and, yes, even within the Church.  However, once trapped by offense, it is often one of the most difficult obstacles a Christian must face and overcome. We will explore the Biblical practice of overcoming offense, or better yet, avoiding Satan’s trap of offense by leaving room for legitimate offenses worth fighting for.

Radical Faith – Mark Butts, Loft

College
